Eastern Cluster Public Realm Design Guide

Medieval streets for modern day
Studying the impact of the Eastern Cluster of tall towers in the City of London on the public realm network of medieval streets.

This study focused on the Eastern Cluster, a 100ha area which has been designated for tall towers to allow the City to retain its position as a global financial centre. Supported by all departments within the Corporation of London, the strategy was developed in consultation with developers, Architects, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for public realm enhancement. It outlines the Corporation’s public realm vision and provides a clear strategy and guiding principles for developers and designers when putting forward proposals for public realm improvements as part of their development schemes.
