The proposals seek to establish a heritage market inspired by the architectural style of the old neighbourhood and the market area with the aim of highlighting the historical role of this commercial area while preserving the identity, heritage and culture of the area.
The centrepiece is a 120,000 sq metre Heritage Village that will showcase the rich maritime and cultural heritage of Salalah. The Al Hafa development extends over 70 hectares and will house, among other components, a 470-key hotel, and dedicated areas for residential, office, and retail investment, incorporating gardens, parks and recreation areas.
